Autobiography by Jenifer Ringer, dancer at the New York City Ballet. Ringer joined NYCB in 1989 at age 16, became a soloist, and struggled with an eating disorder that led to weight gain. She was let go from the company but returned after treatment for her disorder and became a principal dancer. Her autobiography covers her marriage to a fellow dancer, her faith in Christianity, and the 2010 body-shaming scandal when a New York Times critic made comments on her body shape, which became a national story.
