IDIC Log 09

ScoTpress is a fan-run fanzine publisher based in Scotland. Founded by Janet Quarton, Sheila Clark & Valerie Piacentini, it published 145 zines between 1975 and 1996. The same group also published zines for Star Trek fan clubs: 69 for the Star Trek Action Group or STAG (a Star Trek Original series club) and 19 for IDIC (a Original Series/The Next Geneeration club), for a total of 233 publications. In 2013, they began offering a selection of their fanzines online at https://scotpress.co.uk/ and in 2019 they gave permission for their publications to be included on the Internet Archive. Many of the ScotPress zines were donated to the British, Scottish and other libraries on legal deposit. Copies can be obtained on payment of a copying fee. If any contributors object to their stories, poetry, or artwork being made available in this way, they can be removed from the zines upon request.
