The phrase is taken from an article on a populist Internet site whose blurb reads that it provides "information on the dark side of humanity, with a focus on serial killers, cults, and conspiracy theories…" Their September 2025 article which contained the phrase "Esoteric Special Forces Training" gives an insight into how the ONA/O9A is now often publicly and popularly perceived, and why the O9A 'old guard' aka the nine (7+2) ONA old-timers decided to kill and bury what had become a Frankensteinian monster in favor of a personal quest (ἄνοδος) for Lapis Philosophicus based on ancient hermeticism.
