Aristotle — Loeb Classical Library

Aristotle — Loeb Classical Library The Loeb Classical Library is a long-standing bilingual series of Greek and Latin texts in which the original language appears on the left page and an English translation on the facing page . Founded in 1912 by James Loeb and published by Harvard University Press , the series aims to make the core literature of classical antiquity accessible to both scholars and general readers through reliable texts and clear, readable translations , typically accompanied by brief introductions and essential notes. Within the series, Aristotle is represented by a multi-volume collection that presents his extant works in Greek with facing English translation , following established critical editions and standard scholarly referencing (including Bekker numbering). The Loeb Aristotle volumes are designed for philological accuracy, pedagogical usability, and continuity of citation , serving as a widely used reference for study, teaching, and research in ancient philosophy.
