Title: Fifth Column Series: A Work in Progress (2025) Creator: Jeffrey Hunt Format: Digital illustration and text Summary: This ongoing experimental series reimagines modern U.S. history through the aesthetic of early twentieth-century postage design. The stamps and accompanying texts are conceived as fictional press releases from the U.S. Postal Service, written in a neutral institutional voice that reveals the tension between commemoration and self-examination. The collection captures both the achievements and contradictions of the past quarter century — social movements, crises, leadership, and loss — rendered as artifacts of imagined national memory. It stands as a visual and textual chronicle of how ideas form, evolve, and ultimately reflect who we are. Notes: Work in progress. Colors, denominations, and descriptions rema
