The Interview

This is the complete short story prequel to Witch Tower. It is included with Witch Tower An unexpected invitation A secluded New England university campus There’s no harm in an Interview, right? When would-be professor Dr. “Mac” Mackenzie gets an unsolicited proposal to interview at Miskatonic University, he’s eager to apply. He has few prospects, over-due student loans and a desire for a fresh start. Mac is willing to move cross-country for the right teaching position. But is Miskatonic the right position? With its isolated campus, medieval architecture and run-down reputation it’s not the start of an ideal career. And why is Miskatonic so interested in him? About The Miskatonic University Novels: Amid a backdrop of witchcraft, myth and science, Mac tries to make new friends, teach quantum physics, avoid formal dinner parties and, just possibly, stay alive. Lawrence King’s novels of urban fantasy combine his love of gothic horror with speculative science and characters that matter. You can find him online at http://www.miskatonic.us when he’s not at the beach in his native Oregon.
