Countdown #1 : 1971-02-20

Countdown #1 1971-02-20 UK boys comic 20 pages Published weekly, at a price of one shilling. A comic published in Britain by Polystyle Publications , using the most expensive type of printing and grade of paper, to produce the best quality product possible, so that strips could be published in high quality colour, and include articles on science and technology that were supported by high quality photographs, but at the cost of the highest cover price on the market. Apart from the price, the main drawback was that such an expensive product had to be limited to 20 pages per issue, at a time when most British comics were selling for half that price and providing double the number of pages. Copyright Expired Publication The 25 year period of publisher's copyright under the UK's Copyright Acts 1956 to 1988 has expired for all items included in this collection: · Copyright Act 1956, s.15(2) : www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1956/74/section/15 · Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, s.15 : www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/48/section/15
