The Committee recommended the adoption of: • 9 Single Member Constituencies comprising (i) Ayer Rajah (ii) Bukit Timah (iii) Chua Chu Kang (iv) Hougang (v) Joo Chiat (vi) MacPherson (vii) Nee Soon Central (viii) Nee Soon East (ix) Potong Pasir • 14 Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs) comprising (i) 9 GRCs returning 5 Members of Parliament each (1) Aljunied (2) Bishan-Toa Payoh (3) Holland-Bukit Panjang (4) Hong Kah (5) Jalan Besar (6) Jurong (7) Pasir Ris-Punggol (8) Tampines (9) West Coast (ii) 5 GRCs returning 6 Members of Parliament each (1) Ang Mo Kio (2) East Coast (3) Marine Parade (4) Sembawang (5) Tanjong Pagar • the total number of Members of Parliament to be returned is 84. With the exception of BISHAN-TOA PAYOH, HOUGANG, NEE SOON CENTRAL and POTONG PASIR, all other electoral divisions have changes in their respective boundaries. The Government has accepted the recommendations of the Committee and will implement them at the next General Election.
