In Our Town

LibriVox recording of In Our Town by William Allen White. Read in English by volunteer readers. Some humorous, some heartwarming, some heartstring-pulling stories from the newspaper office of a small Kansas town, "in that part of the country called the West by those who live east of the Alleghenies, and referred to lovingly as 'back East' by those who dwell west of the Rockies. It is a country town where, as the song goes, 'you know everybody and they all know you,' and the country newspaper office is the social clearing-house." Published in 1904. - Summary by TriciaG & the text For further information, including links to online text, reader information, RSS feeds, CD cover or other formats (if available), please go to the LibriVox catalog page for this recording.
