Medics Code 3 Special

Medics Code 3 Special was a comic one-shot written by Jon C. Crusoe with art by Jerry S. Loomis. It was published by Shanda Fantasy Arts in October 2005. The comic follows a group of first response medics; Lance Carter, Bambi Horne, Lily Sharpe, Terry Hobbs and Beauregard "Elvis" Platt, and their day to day lives at Southside Station. Moses Masterson is also featured as the "station cook, handyman, resident chemical expert, and the one who knows everything that's going on" Writer Jon C. Crusoe worked as a paramedic at the time, some of the stories may have been inspired by real events he experienced. This is reflected in the overall story as it focuses more on how things operate behind the scenes (training, service privatization and the impact of inter-discipline rivalry) at a medical facility. This makes it a more mundane and realistic depiction of the profession rather than the more dramatic or heroic TV shows and comics that were around at the time. THANK YOU Alastair J.
