"Ontological Knowledge" is a visual narrative that explores the intersection of graffiti and philosophical inquiry through the lens of OK Crew. Featuring the work of artists Jamal, Kidoh, Onesock, Towzone, JTEA, Snufo, Ptch, Targus, Gwis, Feast, Akta, Abide, Gian Fabio, and Scribe, the zine presents 25 photos taken across Chicago in 2023 and 2024. Alongside these images, readers find a diagram that maps the ontological dimensions of graffiti and a poem titled "Graffiti Is Gay," authored anonymously. Through its title, the zine invites reflection on how graffiti, as a dynamic form of expression, intertwines with the philosophical study of ontology—the nature of being and existence. It prompts viewers to contemplate graffiti's role in challenging norms and exploring existential themes of identity, space, and cultural meaning. "Ontological Knowledge" examines graffiti's implications as both art and philosophical discourse, prompting reflection on the nature of reality and human expression in modernity.
