Spawn was kicking all sorts of ass, so was Batman! WHY NOT CROSS OVER?! And so, DC Comics got together with Image Comics and created two crossovers! One was Batman/Spawn: War Devil by all of Batman's 3 writers at the time...and Klaus Janson...it was piss poor. It was boring, it was mostly talking heads (not the band), there wasn't as much action as the BIG one I'm going to talk about. Spawn/Batman is the big one. It was hyped up to high hell! Not only did Todd McFarlane himself draw it, but FRANK MILLER HIMSELF wrote it. It had been YEARS since Miller wrote Batman: Year One, so to see that FRANK MILLER was coming back at the time must've been fantastic! It's just too bad that it was kind of mediocre in terms of story AND art. Not to say that it's bad per-say, it's just...weird... That and BATMAN'S CAPE IS FUCKING HUGE! CHRIST! The reason I'm highlighting these is that Todd McFarlane is writing a new Spawn/Batman crossover with Greg Capullo on the artwork. That's what makes this special. It's the only series of crossovers that made 3 books. Spawn/Batman Credits: Written by Frank Miller Art by Todd McFarlane Letters by Tom Orzechowski Colors by Steve Oliff and Olyoptics Batman/Spawn:
