Iris

LibriVox recording of Iris by Arthur Wing Pinero. Read in English by a full cast. Left a widow 5 years ago at age 21, Iris Bellamy is shackled by terms of her husband's will that would leave her penniless if she remarries. Of course, "if she married a rich man, her interest in her late husband's estate would be no longer indispensible to her." But "rich men generally have some odious quality to counterbalance their wealth. The men one would marry are as poor as mice." So what do you think is likely to happen? - Summary by ToddHW Cast list: Frederick Maldonado: Adrian Stephens Laurence Trenwith: Tomas Peter Croker Harrington: ToddHW Archibald Kane: Alan Mapstone Colonel Wynning: Algy Pug Servant at Mrs. Bellamy's in Kensington: David Purdy Man-Servant at The Villa Pringo: Larry Wilson Iris Bellamy: Availle Fanny Sylvain: Sonia Aurea Vyse: Jenn Broda Mrs. Wynning: Lynette Caulkins Miss Pinsent: Belinda Loveday Woman-Servant at The Villa Pringo and the Flat in Park Street: Sandra Schmit Stage Directions: Michele Eaton Editing: ToddHW For further information, including links to online text, reader information, RSS feeds, CD cover or other formats (if available), please go to the LibriV
